Pinktober with HelloBody

Pinktober- Header

This Pinktober, we’re using our platform to help raise awareness.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In the United States, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. In 2020 alone, more that 270,000 women in the U.S. are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. On average, a new woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in the U.S. You can find more figures here

This Pinktober, HelloBody is committed to doing our part for the initiative. Starting today and through the end of the month, we will be donating $1 from every order to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

A leading advocate for those affected, the National Breast Cancer Foundation promises “to help women now by providing help and inspiring hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.” Read more about their mission and organization here

As a skincare brand, women make up a large part of our community. This makes it all the more important for us to support women in giving their body the careful attention they deserve- not only for the sake of self-care, but also for their physical health. We encourage each of our beauties to really listen to their bodies and to pay special attention to their breasts! Female or male, breast cancer affects millions every year.

What is Pinktober and what is the “Love Your Boobs!” Campaign?

We want to encourage women all over the world to build a healthy relationship with their breasts. No matter the size or shape, our breasts do not determine who we are.

So “Love Your Boobs!” and #hellobodypinktober stand for a positive attitude toward your own body. The campaign is dedicated to the important topic of breast cancer.

We stand alongside the women and men who are affected by breast cancer and will continue to use our platform to educate, raise awareness, and support the cause.

Early detection is incredibly important.

Because the individual causes for breast cancer are still unclear, early detection is that much more important. This is why regular self check-ups are incredibly important.

In addition to regular visits to your gynecologist, you should be checking your breasts regularly. Become comfortable with your boobs- the more familiar you are, the more likely you’ll be to notice any changes!
